History of AutoCAD
AutoCAD, for AutoDesk, started out as ADaC (AutoDesk Architecture CAD) in the 1980s and was originally designed to be used for the drafting of architectural drawings. In the 1990s, AutoCAD was renamed to AutoCAD. The first release was produced in 1989, and by the end of 2001, AutoCAD had sold more than 100 million copies of the software application.
Ease of Use
Features
Ease of Use
Software features such as the ability to create perspectives, align graphics and drawings with a layer, work on a particular part of the model, create a multiblock drawing, and use dropdown menus make AutoCAD a popular choice for CAD users.
Support for 3D Modeling and Animation
AutoCAD is a 3D modeling and animation tool, allowing users to create 3D models and animations. The 3D capability in AutoCAD allows users to work in a virtual environment and view the drawings in the third dimension. This enables users to view the model from any angle, as well as rotate, tilt, and move the model.
Linked Files
Feature
The Linked Files feature allows users to save linked files, which are saved separately but linked to the file being saved. This is useful for users working with multiple drawing files because the same CAD file will always have all the linked files.
Accessing and Saving Files
The file can be accessed in different ways:
In the current version of the software, AutoCAD creates a.DWG file, which is a Portable Document Format (PDF) file. In the past, AutoCAD was able to save files to an XDWG file, which is an archived file format.
3D Modeling and Animation
General Features
3D Modeling and Animation
The 3D modeling and animation features provide support for a 3D view, 3D solid models, and 3D animations. The AutoCAD software can create different types of models, including:
3D geometric models such as walls, ceilings, or any geometric surfaces.
Multi-block models that combine multiple blocks to make a single model. These blocks can be multilayer drawing files or solid models.
Geometric models that include 2D planar drawings and 3D profiles.
AutoCAD is the world’s most popular software for 2D architectural, electrical and mechanical design. There are several versions of AutoCAD, with various feature sets.
SketchUp
SketchUp (formerly LayOut) is an open-source 3D parametric modeling software program developed by Google. The SketchUp software is available for Microsoft Windows, macOS, Android and iOS operating systems, and is based on the open-source, cross-platform 3D modeling program, Blender. SketchUp has been available for download since 2007.
SketchUp is freely available for a non-commercial use, except in the 3D model formats Microsoft may be legally bound by contract or other legal agreement to restrict the use of that format. SketchUp is built on the Blender rendering engine, allowing it to open and edit 3D models in most common formats, including the well-known, proprietary.3ds and.obj file formats. Since its inception, SketchUp has undergone substantial revision. As of June 2018, the latest version is SketchUp Pro 2018, version 2018.
Gravity SketchUp plugin is available for SketchUp 9 and up. It lets you create and modify 3D models as you would with Autodesk’s 3D software.
Programming languages
AutoCAD utilizes the following programming languages:
Visual Basic (abbreviated VBA), a subset of BASIC, used in AutoCAD 2000 and later for macros and a number of controls. VBA is a component-based programming language.
AutoLISP, a low-level, interpreted language. It was used for AutoCAD during the first years of its development and was also the default language for all components, including database queries.
AutoCAD Visual LISP (AutoCAD VL), a dynamic, object-oriented language that can be compiled for use as a real programming language. It is interpreted, but has the same object-oriented syntax as AutoLISP. Visual LISP allows one to customize AutoCAD for particular use.
Autodesk’s ObjectARX, a proprietary, object-oriented, interpreted language that is similar to Visual LISP. It is used for AutoCAD’s Architecture, Electrical, and Mechanical apps.
Visual FoxPro, an interpreted, multi-threaded, object-oriented programming language with a graphical user interface (GUI). It was used for AutoCAD until its discontinuation,

If you have Autodesk software on your computer, but you are not using it, then you can download and install AutoCAD from Autodesk.com
Install the keygen. On Windows, double click the Autocad.exe (if you don’t have it on your computer, go to the Autocad download site).
After the keygen has loaded up, it will ask you if you want to create a new file or replace an existing file. Create a new file with the project you are creating.
Save the file and begin the process of creating your first project in Autocad.
