Array add function in python not returning length of array

I have an array of strings in a list of strings. The strings are in the format of ID’s. I’m trying to iterate through the list and use the add function to append a string to the end of each ID. I’d like to return the array as it is printed.
When I try to return the array instead of appending it only returns the last string in the list.

The code is correct. Your problem is that you do not have a single list of strings, you have one list of lists. When you iterate over the list of lists, you are looking at just the last list in the list.
You need to use the list comprehension here:

>>> l = [“(%s %s)” % (x, y) for x, y in zip(strs, strs)]

To make a full list of the strings from each element of strs, use list comprehensions.
