i tested this with dtfidf listed in the threads title.

I don’t know anything about how the regex is performed but I am always stunned by how good it works.

What I want to know is this:
1- can Xtraktor open a “new” playlist on a disc using the folders on the disc as the initial folder? (say)

2- will it create a new playlist based on the selection in the playlist drop down list if there is no listing?

3- the above will prevent duplicates in the playlist.

4- is there a code guide of any sort that would help me replicate my own playlist creation on disc?

Yes there is and it’s located in the Xtraktor folder. It’s called txt (similar to making something

My brother used XTraktor before. It actually works well. Right click mouse button works well too.
This version of Xtraktor is not at all the same as before. This is a Windows version as well.
No more single icons for the four categories in menu bar like before.

I’m using Win Xp and XPsp2. You can use Win Xp if you can install XPsp2. I think XTraktor for XP is available as well.

I did trial-and-error procedure to change some default parameters and I found a solution. Just follow what I did.

First, I changed the output folder to destination home directory like this :

If you have a real problem with the single icon thing:

First, right click on the I. icon in the menu bar, and then select Properties.

Select the Font tab, then select the “Use small icon” option.

Second, look at the Tab Attributes list. You probably need to change the icon’s color to gray, and that’s easy.

@Pieman0 don’t worry. I’m not sure if it makes a difference but it is the 1.07 version I’m using. Anyway, many thanks for fixing the problems with the font. You gave me some new ideas. Let’s see if I can make something useable out of them.

Thanks for the reply. I wanted to keep the icon the same so I selected “Use small icon”. But I noticed that it is now gray. I am guessing there are 2 categories, “Output Files” and “Search Results”. One of them has a different color than the other? Can you confirm and tell me if I am right?

My guess is that you are right. You can change the color in the options. I didn’t actually try it yet.

Thank you for your reply. I found the Settings option and there I could change the color. I changed it to black and it all works just fine. That actually made it more flexible, so thank you very much for the tips. Your help is much appreciated.

I used to use Xtraktor with XP Pro, and I had the same issues with the single icon problem.

With XP Sp3, I can right click on the icon, and select Properties, then select the Taskbar tab. There, I can click the Advanced button, and then deselect “Show Small Icons”.
