$5^{\circ}$ wide, and is separated from the main cluster by a barrier formed by concentric shells of radius about 5.9 pc, 7.2 pc, 9.5 pc, and 12.0 pc. We have identified two infrared nebulae which lie at the midplane of the main cluster. The larger of these, NGC 3114-IRS, is a possible pre-main-sequence star formation region. The second nebulae, NGC 3114-IRS-N, is likely to be associated with a far-infrared source, IRAS 05271+2834, detected in the IRAS point source catalogue. The star formation rate of the OB association in the main cluster is estimated to be between 3 and 10 Myr$^{ -1}$.
