Trying to use lastIndexOf in regular expression
I’ve got a string with some special characters (e.g. ‘/’). I want to count characters until I find the first ‘/’. I’ve got this:
var str = “my/path/string/here”.match(/\/.*\//).length;
But it always returns 6. I know that the. isn’t working because of the last “/”, but I’m not sure how to work this around.

str = str.replace(/\/.*\//, function(match, index){ return match; });
