– Select the Early Reflections algorithm
– Select the Wipe-Off algorithm
– Adjust the Early Reflections (Level, Decay, Ramp)
– Adjust the Wipe-Off (Amount, Time)

Most algorithmic reverbs offer a number of different algorithms to simulate different natural rooms like chamber, halls or artificial ones like plates. REFLECT makes use of impulse responses

Reflect Free Download is an algorithmic reverb with a clear and smooth character – without any peaks.
Its engine is a new multi-tap time-expansion algorithm which tries to simulate the different reflections in a room. It is the result of many years of development, research and experience. REFLECT tries to emulate the properties of real rooms with its default setup.
REFLECT only offers a few compression plugins – there is no need to use compression plugins for these algorithms.
REFLECT is a low-latency and CPU-efficient plugin with low memory requirements and a good reasonability.
REFLECT offers over 5 different algorithms to choose from – These algorithms react on different situations and are described in the below paragraphs.

REFLECT_HALL

The algorithm is highly optimized for playback in a real chamber with a long reverberation time.
Its use for studio and recording setup is almost impossible.
REFLECT_HALL applies a multi-tap algorithm which tries to recreate the acoustical properties of classic microphones.
When played back from a good microphone, this algorithm creates in most cases a mixture of the higher-order modes.
Therefore, the reverb behaves like a good parallel microphone.
The mixing is done in an intuitive way by passing the sounds over an arithmetic mixing distribution with three steps: (a) time expansion, (b) crossover, and (c) distribution of the resulting MDP values.
The Crossover is highly optimized for the default parameters.

REFLECT_HALL_EMBED

The algorithm is for use in recording setups and is specifically designed for real studio microphones.
It is designed for very short reverb times.

Any reverb library needs an impulse response which must be loaded and applied,
Reflections can be of any size and shape. To improve the feeling of space, reflections should be filtered and colored.
Depending on the shape of the room, reflections can be clustered and follow the walls or bounce all over the place.
To get a more natural feeling of space, reflections can be colored by a decaying exponential function between the beginning of the echo and the last reflection. Alternatively, the whole envelope of the reflection can be colored.
REFLECT lets you change the shape, size, and color of reflections to your liking.
