A new computerized system of standardized two-dimensional M-mode echocardiographic measurement of pulmonary regurgitation, the “tracking method,” was investigated in 19 consecutive patients with right ventricular volume load after repair of tetralogy of Fallot. The patients were examined with the standard planar cineangiogram and simultaneous echocardiography in the apical four-chamber view. The seven right ventricular functional parameters were measured by the “tracking method” on both the left and right sides.
