Sidney Kusnet

Sidney Kusnet (born June 2, 1947) is an American television and film director, writer and producer. Kusnet was the President of the Directors Guild of America (DGA) for the 2009-2010 term. Previously, he served as the DGA Vice President, Production for three years, and President of the Directors Guild of Canada (DGC) for seven years. Kusnet was a Producer on the TV series The Paper, The Possession of Hannah Grace, The X-Files and The Last Hurrah.

Early life
Kusnet was born in Long Island, New York. After graduating high school, he attended American University, Washington. He directed some plays while at American. In 1972, he moved to Los Angeles.

Career
Kusnet started his career in 1974 with American International Pictures. In the late 70s, he moved to Warner Bros. His first work as a television director was a television movie, which he co-directed with Robert Reed, Life Force. He was assigned by the studio to work on The Paper.

In the early 80s, Kusnet began working on feature films, including The Last Hurrah, Full Metal Jacket, The House on Sorority Row, and the comedy The Sure Thing. In 1991, Kusnet made his first short film, Mommy’s Boy. In 1998, he produced and directed his first TV series, The American Girls. In 2003, Kusnet started working on the TV series The Possession of Hannah Grace, and its second and final season in 2008, which aired in the USA on the Lifetime television network.

In 2008, Kusnet became the President of the Directors Guild of Canada (DGC). He also became a producer on the TV series, The American Girls. He was in this position until the 2009-2010 term, when he became the President of the DGA. He was succeeded as President by Mike Mitchell. Kusnet wrote the book The Big Shoe: A Director’s Memoir, published in 2007.

This will find files ending with.avi,.DVG,.mp4,.AVI or.MP4, then rename them to the same name with the file extension part removed.
To do things like removing the.zip part, renaming.mp3 to.mp4, moving the extension to be after the file-name etc., it would be a bit more complicated, but the code would look something like this:
