This application does not support scanning of barcodes on an Android tablet.

Desktop Scanner over IP:
With Desktop Scanner over IP you can scan barcodes with your web browser. This application is not limited to barcodes, but you can scan QR codes with this client. The QR code is sent from your phone to a local server, and the QR code is then displayed in the browser window.
Desktop Scanner over IP can scan barcodes with iOS. iOS support is a new feature since version 2.1 of the iPhone and the iPad.

However, the free version has some limitations:
* You can only scan barcodes in portrait mode.
* The app can only scan barcodes and QR codes.
* QR codes are not supported for the iPad.

Port number:
Here you can enter the port number, which is the default web server port of your computer. If you use a different web server port number, you will have to enter this number here, too.
In practice, it is not necessary to do this. If you install and use a web server in your computer, the port number is automatically defined.
